LA-IX // Ashley Pryor – Scorecard

Stage One // “Commercial Shoot”
Judge #1

Performance: A
She executed her poses and faces really well. Nothing she did seemed sloppy.
Variety: A
There was so much variety in this shoot. She did a good job of making sure her photos were as unique as she is.
Creativity: A
My favorite prop she brought was the ski mask. It was a bold move to cover your face in a shoot, but she nailed it. The rest of her props were fun too – without distracting from what she was trying to sell.

Judge #2
Performance: A+
The model seemed to know what she was going to do and how to do it. A+
Variety: A+
The model never had two photos that were too similar to one another. This is something I’ve seen a lot in shoots we’ve done across the country. Models typically get into a “zone” and they only do what they’re comfortable with. This model didn’t step outside the box – she jumped from it.
Creativity: A+
Again…the model gets another high score from me in this category, because she displayed a lot of imagination in this shoot. The t-shirt design she wore looked great and her brain came up all sorts of different ways to show it off. I’m not sure if the model has done commercial modeling before, but she brought a very refreshing take on it here. A+

YES! You definitely hit your marks!
Variety: A+
This shoot was so much fun to flip through! Never got bored!
Creativity: A+
Ski mask, hockey gloves(?), hockey stick, and shades!! You were all over the place in a GOOD way!

Stage Two // “Scream Queens”
Judge #1
Performance: A+

The model nailed everything she tried to do in this shoot.  It looked absolutely terrifying and she looked terrified too.  It’s important to know where your light is and what the camera is trying to capture and she seemed to know exactly where her marks were at all times.  Impressive.
Variety: A+
She mixed things up a lot in this shoot.  Variety is the spice of life and, when looking at an entire set of photos, the deciding factor on whether the series is engaging or not.  Fantastic work.
Creativity: A+

I gathered that she was a human sacrifice.  I have been wrong before though.  The terrified expressions on her face; the blood; and the bones painted that picture for me.  Excellent idea.

Performance: A+

Ashley looked like someone straight out of a scary movie!  Chills!  Her poses were spot on.  That’s knowing your angles!
Variety: A+

When I modeled, I always tried to keep things interesting by making sure I did different poses.  I’d tell the photographer, or an assistant, to let me know if I was being boring.  Ashley switched things up so much!  This shoot was very fun to look through!
Creativity: A+

I don’t watch a lot of scary movies, so I’m not sure what she was going for exactly, BUT it was definitely unique!  You could tell she put a lot of thought into what she was going to wear and do.  Great job, Ashley!

Performance: A+

She executed her poses very well.  One of my favorites from this shoot.
Variety: A+

I saw many different poses, angles, and expressions.  Wasn’t bored once looking at her shoot.  Keep it up.
Creativity: A+

Very creepy and creative idea.  Seen a lot of horror films.  This belongs in one.

Stage Three – Urban Swimwear
Judge #1
Performance: B+
Overall, Ashley did a good job in pulling off the poses she was attempting.  She did not look sloppy.  She did seem stiff in some of her poses, but they may have been because she was not on solid ground.
Variety: B+
She had a lot of variety, but there were some poses that seemed repetitious.
Creativity: B+
Loved the fact that she showed up in a wet suit, then took it off!  The jacket was also a nice touch.  I’ve seen Dolly Parton or Cher wear something like that. 🙂 I think she could have been more creative with her poses though.

Judge #2
Performance: A-
She really hit her poses well!  I think some of the later shots didn’t have the same energy she had at the beginning of her shoot though.
Variety: A
She was in different outfits and was in all sorts of positions and had many different backdrops.  Ashley really made an effort to change things up and it did not go unnoticed.
Creativity: A-
Everything she did in the shoot was creative and different and fun!  I would have like to see her be more creative in the last shots of the shoot though.  Maybe she got stuck on ideas?

Judge #3
Performance: A+
WOW!  This girl nailed it!  It’s hard sometimes to remember where your body is in relation to the camera / lighting, but Ashley / Valentine seemed to know where everything was throughout her whole shoot!
Variety: A
The only thing she didn’t change up very much was her face.  That’s it.  Other than that, Ashley did so many different things my head was spinning lol in a good way
Creativity: A+
Probably the most creative shoot I’ve seen from that set!  No offense to anyone else!  The scuba suit, spray paint, bikini, rocker jacket, the truck, hanging off the back, the blanket.  She is a very creative person!

FINAL SCORE: 75
